The Opticon OPN-2001 stores the read barcodes in memory.

Here is how to download the scanned barcodes to a text file on a PC.

1) Download the necessary utility - here is the link

2) Download the necessary driver to create a virtual serial port - here link

3) After installing the drivers and application, connect the OPN-2001 reader to the PC using a mini USB cable. In the device manager, check the serial port number that the reader is connected to.

4) Start the OPN-200x software

5) Select the serial port on which the reader is connected. (e.g. COM 3)

6) Then check SAVE TO FILE and select the folder where to save the TXT file.

7) Click the GET BARCODES button. The data will be downloaded from the reader. You can then check the downloaded data in the TXT file.
